The Youngest Classic Qualifier - Brandon Palaniuk

I just read an article about the youngest 2011 Bassmaster Classic Qualifier, 22 year old Brandon Palaniuk who won the BASS Federation Nation National Championship. He qualified for the Classic, as well as for the Elites next year, which he will fish if he gets enough sponsors.

When I was living in Washington State, he was in nearby Northern Idaho and dominated the events up there so it's no surprise to see him doing well  He also won the Norman FLW Tour event as a Co-Angler this year and did pretty good in the BFL All-American.  An awesome year so far by anybody's standards.

The article makes a reference to the fact that Brandon will be 23 this week and 23 at the time of the Classic.  The same age Bryan Kerchal was when we won the classic at that age, making him the only Federation winner.  I think it would be a great story if pulls it off like Bryan did in 1993.

Watch out for this guy.  I think he has a bright future in bass fishing.
