2010 Washington State Champ - Joey Nania

About a month ago I posted about Joey Nania, who I used to fish against in Washington State fishing his first ever Bassmaster Open and finishing in the Top 10 on Amistad.  Joey, just 19 years old has continued his hot streak and just finished in the Top 5 at the BASS Federation Nation Western Regional on Lake Martinez in Arizona.  Since he was the top finisher from Washington he is going to move on to fish the Nationals on the Red River this fall with a chance to make the Bassmasters Classic!  This is why everyone fishes the Federation...to have a chance to fish against the best in the sport.  It all starts with the Federation affiliated bass club.  I am fishing a State Qualifier this weekend and hope to do as well as Joey.

I'm saying all of this because, I think we need to start watching this guy, he is on a hot streak and will no doubt be fishing at the top in the near future.  His next stop is at the Red River for the Second Elite Series event that starts on June 3rd.  Check out his website, become his fan on Twitter, on Facebook, and check out his YouTube Channel.  I'm sure he will have some exciting news to post after this event.

Also check out this video of a hawg he caught after the Lake Martinez event.
