Skeet Reese, the #1 Angler in the World just signed with Stratos Boats. While it's a new story just because he has been with Champion Boats for what seems like forever, the bigger story in my opinion is what's happening to Champion. They were part of the Genmar boats bankruptcy and sale to Platinum Equity...but what's next for Champ? They signed Jason Quinn for a quick time in 08 then he went to Nitro right away..basically Skeet was the only guy still running a Champion. And now, he's one of the only (maybe the only) Elite Series pro running a Stratos. Another interesting thing to note is the Stratos plan to release the "Stratos Champion Elite Series" of boats. Sounds like a mix of both brands, or the dissapearance of my favorite brand of boats, which are still in my opinion the best ever for rough water.
