A Bass Fishing Wedding

Friday July 2, 2010 Tanya and I were married in Priest River, Idaho. It was an amazing day and as you can expect, it had a distinct bass fishing theme. I was told by several of the guys that attended about how jealous they were. First it was held right on the water overlooking the awesome Pend Oreille River. The setting was perfect and I was able to get some fishing in everyday we were up there, including a bass fishing bachelor party (more on that when I get the fish pics).

My good friend Wes brought Tanya in on a bass boat, complete with a Sheriff escort. It was amazing and just perfect for us. We were married on the bank of the river and our vows included lines about bass fishing and promises to "never cast across each others lines when fishing". The rings even came out of tackle box. Our cake was custom designed to include lures and a jumping bass as the topper. It was awesome looking and tasted even better. The fishing theme continued with each table being named for one of our favorite bass lakes. The table settings were Tanya's idea and people were seated according to the lake's meaning and location. Overall the day was perfect. The rain and clouds were there all day except for the hour that the sun came out and allowed us to get married without the rain. For all of you single guys out there, I hope you are as lucky as I am and are able to find someone who will want a wedding like this.
