NEW - Seaguar Kanzen - High Performance Braid

Seaguar is well-known for it’s fluorocarbon lines.  In fact, they invented the stuff and have been doing it for 40 years now.  2011 marks their 40th year and also the first time they have entered the braided line category.

Seaguar Kanzen is a braided line with the quality you have come to expect from Seaguar. I have been fishing the line for a few weeks now and have had no problems at all. It all starts with the design.  The braid is very manageable and also doesn't have that waxy feeling you may be used to with other lines.  This helps too, as it doesn't seem to dig into the spool as much as some braids.  That's one thing I hate about braid, the digging effect.  I fished it flipping and pitching and it was smooth, and even after those casts where you get hung up and have to pull hard to free your bait, the line did not dig into the spool as much as I see with other braids.

Seaguar calls this braid a high performance braid and it really is.  The knot strength, abrasion resistance, castability and sensitive qualities that they attribute to this line are all true.  Kanzen is a good, solid braid that will be your workhorse for fishing heavy cover.  I haven't fished it long enough to gauge the long term abrasion resistance problems and fading that usually come with braided lines, but so far I am impressed.
