It seems like much of bass fishing has slowly moved away from using the spinnerbait. Chatterbaits, swim jigs and swim baits have replaced spinnerbaits in many situations, but the blade still catches bass like it did when they first came out 60 years ago. Tackletour.com, always very detailed, recently did a Spinnerbait Shootout review of several brands. They rated the baits on quality, price, performance and other categories. I wasn't surprised to see the Pepper Hawg Spinnerbait was the top rated bait. This is my favorite spinnerbait and I have several designs and colors. I think I'm going to use a spinnerbait a little more this year. The bass haven't forgotten them.
