The Power Pole has become a must have for many bass anglers. Down here in Florida, it seems like everyone has one. I was a little skeptical of them at first, but now see the many uses for them. I would love to have them on a boat, but they are fairly expensive. Until now they have had no real competition. I heard Minn Kota was coming out with their own version and now it's official. The price is about the same $1,200+, but maybe with the competition, the consumer will see the benefits of a price war. Who knows. You can read the press release from Minn Kota here.
