We got home a little while ago from Orlando after watching the weigh-in for the Southern Open on Lake Toho. I was just checking to see the coverage of G-Man's first B.A.S.S. win on Bassmaster.com and glanced through the photos and saw this. Those green arrows are pointing at us as we are preparing to interview him. I thought it was pretty cool.
Also, in my first post I didn't mention how great of a guy he was. You could tell he was really excited about finally getting his first win with B.A.S.S. His Co-Angler weighed in over 21 pounds for 3 fish! He also won. That really shows how good of an area he was in. He basically stayed in that area the whole time and fished a mix of hydrilla and shellbeds. These type of areas are really key on the Kissimmee Chain this time of year. If you remember back three years ago on this same chain, KVD dominated the Elite Series event with a then new Strike King Red Eye Shad in Sexy Shad. I think that was really the start of the whole "sexy" craze.
Also congrats to Trevor Fitzgerald who finished 3rd. I fished with him at one of the BFL events last year and he is the man! Expect to see him around at the top level some time.

Congrats G-Man!
